Week One Outline

Monday (half hour session)

Here the students are introduced to words which can be easily pronounced phonetically. With the teacher, the students say the word a few times, listening to the sound of the letters, and discuss it's meaning. Then using the text cards provided in the resource package attached to the written assignment; the students, under the guidance of their teacher, match the spelling words with the appropriate meanings.
Students can then practice using each of the spelling words in short sentences.

Wednesday (half hour session)

Using flashcards, included in the attached resource package; the students, with the assistance of the teacher, will practice associating the visual representation of a number with it's written form. The numbers range from one to ten and an example of the activity is displayed below.

Friday (half hour session)

Using the ESL Colour Activity site, students will independently interact with the internet and the provided worksheet by matching colours with numbers. This will be an extension on the previous two sessions.
