This month, I was blessed to receive a package from a church's ladies' auxiliary. What a surprise it was to me! In Russia, it wasn't totally uncommon to receive a package filled with things I missed, but to receive one here in Minnesota, caught me off guard.

I thank these dear ladies for thinking of me and encouraging me in this way. It meant so very much to me to know that there are people praying for us as we begin this mission work God has called us to.

The following is current info on SOW:

Dear Friends of SOW:

Thank you for your continued support of the orphans & widows of Russia. This month, there is one woman in particular I would like to tell you about. From talking to our friends in Russia, she really stuck out in my mind, as I remember meeting her children several years ago.

This widow is not as old as most of the women SOW has helped in the past. However, this woman is in her fifties, and has two children: a daughter who is now nineteen, and a younger son, who is a young teenager.

Her husband was a preacher many years ago, and died approximately four years ago. Life in Russia is not easy for the average woman, much less for one with children and no husband.

Your help has impacted this lady’s life. She was overjoyed by the box she received, full of food ! She was overcome with emotion and wishes to thank all those who make this ministry possible!

Please continue praying for not only this preacher’s wife, but also for the countless other widows , most of whom are not saved. Pray that they will truly see the love of Jesus shown to them and come to know Him as their own!
