Samurai Showdown is about a man named Haohmaru. He is a Holy Warrior along wit Charlotte, Nakoruru, Wan Fu, Galford, and Tam Tam. The story starts out with Amakusa trying to destroy the Holy Warriors. She does it by setting them on fire, but before they are completely dead their souls are removed from their bodies and will be reborn in 100 years. When they are reborn Haohmaru is just a regular farmer, he goes to dojo to dojo to prove his skill to his brothers and sisters in the village. One day he was ask to find and kill a giant bear that got lose. He did, but Amakusa has sent soliders to Haoh Maru home to kill everybody. When he sees his home on fire, he runs back, and on the way he kills all the soliders he sees on the way. When he gets to his mother she is already dead by a arrow in the back. He is so enraged he kills everybody he sees, but he encounter Earthquake while killing everybody. They fight for a while, but in the end Haohmaru slices Earthquake in half. After he burys all the people in the village, he sees the rest of the Holy Warriors, but he doesn't remember that he was a Holy Warrior. So he attacks the Holy Warriors, but he is no match for them without his Holy Warrior skill. He is so mad he runs off trying to find the person who killed his mother. So Haohmaru goes to Amakusa castle to try to kill her. The rest of the Holy Warriors had to follow Haohmaru to make sure he didn't kill himself. When Haohmaru finds Amakusa he is so filled with rage that his fighting skill is sloppy and cannot defeat her. Now the rest are the Holy Warriors are trapped and only Haohmaru and Charlotte are free. Haohmaru is trying to fight off demons in his head put there by Amakusa, which he does. Now he is fully awaken and his fighting techinque is more powerful. Now they both go to free the rest of the holy warriors and stop Amakusa. They stop Amakusa and now they have to destroy another demon. Which they do and they go off together.
