A Blessed Pedro Calungsod Songbook is finally available for
sale. The songbook is a compilation of companion prayer-songs to
a novena in honor of the Beato. Together with the
songbook is a CD containing all the songs plus two tracks from Scenes
From A Martyrdom, the soundtrack CD from the full-length musical
play by Fr. Rudy Villanueva.

Novena and Devotion Booklets
The Archdiocese of Cebu has published the Novena to Blessed Pedro
Calungsod, a set of prayers to be said for nine consecutive days
in preparation for the feast of the Beato. Also published is the
weekly Devotion to Blessed Pedro Calungsod, another set of prayers
to be said on Saturdays. Both sets of prayers are meant to be said
before the celebration of the Holy Mass in all parishes for the
spread of the devotion to Blessed Pedro among the faithful. However,
the same prayers may be said even if the Holy Mass does not follow
especially in the chapels and in the homes. Saturday has been chosen
for the observance of the weekly devotion to Blessed Pedro simply
because it was on such a day when he arrived in Guam to help start
the Mission there (16 June 1668) and again on such a day when he
was martyred there four years later (2 April 1672).
