JUST
THREE months after tying the knot for the fifth
time, Jean-Claude Van Damme is back to his old
boozing, skirt-chasing ways -- and his latest
escapade landed him in handcuffs.
The
martial arts star was arrested for DUI in the
early morning hours of September 23 -- minutes
after propositioning two strippers.
"Jean-Claude
was drinking that night at the Hollywood hot spot
Barfly," an eyewitness revealed.
"He
told anyone who listened how disappointed he was
that his most recent release 'Universal Soldier:
The Return' was such a disaster.
"When
he left around 2 a.m., his friends told him he
shouldn't drive, but Jean-Claude became very
belligerent, cursing at his friends and telling
them he would fight them. But then he turned
around and started laughing!
"On
the way to his Mercedes, Jean-Claude stopped to
talk to two women standing in front of the bar.
He told them he wanted to make love to them.
"But
his buddies yelled at him and he made a dash for
the car.
"Jean-Claude
hopped in his Mercedes and started out of the
parking garage. He then smacked his car into a
wall. A front portion of his bumper dropped off
the car and Jean-Claude howled with laughter.
"A
bystander grabbed the small bumper piece and
actually asked Jean-Claude to autograph it for
him. And he happily agreed!"
Jean-Claude
and his friends pulled into Mels Drive-In at
about 2:20 a.m., a source at the restaurant
disclosed.
"When
they turned into the driveway, Jean-Claude
smacked the right side of his car into a pole in
the parking lot.
"Inside
the restaurant, Jean-Claude was very loud and
obnoxious.
"He
saw some gorgeous women in the restaurant and
started flirting with them. The girls are in Mels
all the time. They're both strippers and stop in
for a bite after their shift at a local strip
joint.
FAST FACTS:
Jean-Claude won the Mr. Belgium bodybuilding
title at age 18.
"He
wanted to know how much money it would take for
them to have sex with him. The girls were
offended and told Jean-Claude to take a
hike."
Jean-Claude
left the restaurant around 3:15 a.m. and was
immediately pulled over by West Hollywood police.
"Deputy
Steven Flamm smelled alcohol on his breath and
initiated a field sobriety test," said an
insider. "Jean-Claude failed.
"They
cuffed him and took him to West Hollywood
station, where the officers gave him a
Breathalyzer test. He was almost double the legal
limit!
"A
few hours later, Jean-Claude was let go after
bond was posted and he was given a court date of
November 29."
When
contacted by The ENQUIRER, Jean-Claude had no
comment.
Back
in June when the action hero wed Gladys Portugues
for the second time, he told The ENQUIRER:
"Gladys and I have agreed from this day
forward we will be honest and open and
understanding of each other."
Jean-Claude
can only hope Gladys is understanding.
