24th ~ We went shopping tonight to get hair mousse and hangers. We decided to go look at rings, because in the back of our mind we know we want to pick one out by June. Walking into Peoples Jewelry I noticed a big poster of a beautiful Millenium Trinity ring. It caught my eye again in the display case of rings. Chris and I both agreed this was "the" ring for me. We happily ordered it and made arrangements for payment on the coming Friday.

28th ~ Went to People's Jewelry to put our first payment down on the ring. Oralie the saleswoman removed the tags from the ring and I tried it on. It went on!! It was a tiny bit snug but I decided to take it home with me that night and wear it and see if it bothered me or not. I had the option of returning it monday to be sent out to be sized if need be. Excitedly we left the store ring and all :) :) :)

29th ~ Well we couldn't wait to tell our families of our engagement. We had wanted to do so for so long, but we had agreeed to wait until we had the ring. It was now time :) We first went to my parents and told them, they were very happy :) Then we went to my grandmothers, she was also very excited and happy for us. Then we went to Chris's parents and surprised them with the news as well. It was a memorable night indeed :)

1st ~ Took my ring back to the Jewelers on this day. As much as I wanted to flash and show off my ring on my finger during the weekend it was causing my chubby fingers to swell and be sore. Too small was the verdict. Much to my poutyness Chris dropped it off to the store. I'm getting it 3/4's of a size bigger. It should be back on friday :) I can't wait!

5th ~ Well do I have a story to tell you! Today my ring was scheduled to arrive back from being sized. I had feelings of butterflies worried it wasn't back on time... I went to the store and gave them my claim ticket. "We're sorry but it's here" was the reply I got. My heart sank. So I asked why it wasn't back as promised and when would it be here? They started looking through their books and orders and couldn't find when they sent it out or where it was. The sales ladies started to panic. They were running around going through books papers, boxes, bags, they even called the place where it was being sized. The company who sized it said it was sent to them and it should have been in the order the jewelry store received this morning... Half hour of being on edge and they found it. Little did we know Chris had put it under his name not mine and they were looking under mine hehehe... Cause out of the blue I asked them "could it be under his name?". What a sigh of relief when it was found. The sales women looked like they were on verge of heart attack!!! So as I type I am happily wearing my sparkling dazzling ring :) Pictures will be added to the web site soon :)

7th ~ We went to visit Chris's parents today and found out some interesting news... It is said that his priest will not perform mixed marriages nor does he like a wedding with many attendants! So thats a double whammy against us. So we have to make an appointment with the priest to plead our case and see if he will marry us. If not we may go see the priest at my mothers Catholic church from when she was growing up (she changed religions to Anglican when she married my father). She is puzzled though, because my baptism cirtificate is recognized in both the Catholic and Anglican churches. So technically Chris's priest should not protest my being Anglican. So this throws a stressy kink into things....

8th ~ Well we weighed the pro's and con's of receptions halls. We have decided that it would be in the best interest to have it at the Kensington Rec Center. Mom and Dad no longer own it, just last week they sold, but it is still an ideal location to have the wedding. Not only do we know the new owners, we know the staff, the building and what to expect. It won't be like walking into a strange building and not know what to expect. We know that place inside after owning and running it for 10 years. So we booked the Rec Center Hall for our reception. A nice feeling to have something set in stone. Now if we can book the church this month I'll be happy :)
