Sacred Sin | Review and Rating
Anguish
| Melodic death / thrash metal from Portugal of a surprisingly high standard! This Cd kicks ass in my opinion
and would please fans of bands like Iced Earth, Death and In Flames. This has plenty of melody and thrashing parts mixed together to create a
greater whole that makes you want to bang your head!

| Reborn in steel
| The reason this doesn't get 10 out of 10 is because Gerrir P. Mutz is about the most out of tune annoying vocalist
ever to abuse my ears! The music is heavy, the songs are great! The gallop is fast, the riffs are humungous! a Power metal fans wet dream. Shame about Gerrit!

| Chronicles of Chaos
| Very fast death metal with some technicality spanning the career of this Florida
based band. Very good rhythmic playing in the more newer songs and good technicality. Features bass player extraordinaire, Steve Digiorgio.
This man rules on the bass! His fingers must be flying all over it!
| Rating - 7 Elements of Anger
| The latest Sadus album is good and quite progressive in nature. There are some nice keyboard touches
which help give the music an airy feel at times. The riffing is crisp and technical at times. There are a number of cool tracks and a few fillers here and there.
Unfortunately the poduction is way too thin. It needs serious beefing up!

| Streets - a rock Opera
| An interesting rags to riches and back to rags concept in this one. Music is mostly good and flows nicely.
There are some tracks which can get a bit boring and usually means I skip them but there are some awesome tracks like Jesus saves that
feature great riffs. Vocals are great as you would expect from Jon Oliva. Riffs and solos are top notch. Overall one of the best from this great band.
| Rating - 8 Hall of the mountain king
| Easily my fave from this band. This is heavy metal at its best! Thunderous riffs, great solos, powerful and melodic vocals.
But the number one factor is the great song writing making the songs so memorable!
| Rating - 9 Gutter Ballet
| Another very solid album from these guys. They don't make bad albums. no sir! Very much a progressive metal release this one.
Features a considerable amount of Piano and moody vocals.
| Rating - 7 The dungeons are Calling
| Heavy power metal styled album done in the best American tradition. Powerful and melodic riffing is the order
of the day here. Killer stuff! Especially the opening riff which is a real neck snapper!
| Rating - 8 Sirens
| Another humungous neck snapper opens the show. This is their first album
and you can sense the primitivity but it still rules and in the title track you have a killer song!
| Rating - 7 Edge of Thorns
| On this album they showcase a new powerful vocalist called zach stevens. He sings very powerfully at times and this
is one heavy album. Jon Oliva still makes the odd appearance. Good stuff as per usual with this band!
| Rating - 8 Power of the night
| Simple rocking metal with great melodic riffing. One of the early albums so the production sounds a bit weak.
Still features some great songs.
| Rating - 7 Dead winter Dead
| For some reason this is my least favourite of the Sava albums I own. There is a serious dark atmosphere
on this album. Since the subject matter is the wars in the balkans thats not a surprise! Very brooding and downbeat with not enough
head banging moments for me!
| Rating - 6 The Wake of Magellan
| The latest album from Sava is a nice story of hope and triumph and is quite an uplifting album.
Again Iam slightly dissapointed by the lack of faster songs. still its good but not something I reach for very often.
