Mallett RACING

Racing with the British Automobile Racing Club
and the
Classic Saloon Car Club of Great Britain

This Car started its life as a 1982 1600cc Capri LS. During the month of May 1995 it was built into a Group 1 3.0s Touring Car by Ray Cousins at Rally Sport Developments in Leighton Buzzard.

The Classic Saloon Car Club of Great Britain organises championships for pre '66, pre '74 and pre '83 Touring Cars. This car is entered in the pre '83 Group 1 Touring Car Championship. It competes in Class B against other Capris, Rover SDi's and a Mitsubishi Starion amongst others. Running in other classes are Jaguar XJS, Dolomite sprints, Escort RS2000 and XR3i.

Boxbridge Engineering in Warwick has prepared the car for the 2000 season. We expect to be racing at which started at Silverstone on 18th March.

Other events planned for this year include a return to Spa Francorchamps, for the British Sports and Saloon Car Challenge race, which supports the Six Hours of Spa Historic meeting, in September.
