Supplies Needed:
I started by placing the bolt plug in the vise(be careful not to clamp on the threads).I proceded to drill a hole through the center of the bolt plug(this took some time, also be careful, the bolt plug may get VERY hot). After I had let the plug cool off, I put it in the vise horizontally. I sawed off(with the hacksaw) about two thirds of the end of the bolt plug(the standard autococker cocking rod is just a little too short). I filed the end that I sawed off so I had a smooth surface(I may paint it later).I took a little piece of sandpaper, rolled it up, and sanded inside the hole in the bolt plug. This removed any burrs and would make it easier for the rod to travel.
Next goes the bolt, I first practised on my stock bolt before trying it on the venturi. The stock bolt is much more easier to drill through as you may notice.I put the bolt in the vice and drilled just to the hole where the connecting pin is located. After drilling I used the 10/32 tap (be sure to put a little bit of oil on the tap when you use it). Next I used another piece of rolled up sandpaper and smoothed the connecting pin hole.
