I became fascinated by this piece and the way it's been put together. First I came across the tablatures of the Bourrée, which is the fifth piece in the suite. Later I acquiered the scores of the whole suite. Having no theoretical background whatsoever, to be able to play the suite I was obliged to teach myself how to read notes. That way I could decipher the piece although I never use the scores while playing. I always play by heart. By comparing my version to other performances I dare to believe it is as powerfully played as the ones from classicaly schooled musicians. Although I can't deny that it cost me a great deal of effort, I can now say I'm proud of the result.
