The transition year group visited A number of educational and interesting place this year of particular importance was a trip to Kilmmainham Jail and Collins BARRACKS during the first team. Kilmainham Jail can be seen as an unparalleled historical resource when it comes to the understanding of Irelands emergence as modern Independent State. Even the entrance to the jail with its two stone dragons a flagpole and stone pledge found in the courtyard conveys this sense of importance.
