REVIEW
DESERT
HEAT, R, (1999, Columbia TriStar Home Video)
Van
Damme plays Eddie Lomax a mysterious loner ready
to end his life in this modern day western-fable.
But when a gang of un-ruly brothers beat him,
shoot him and leave him for dead the one thing
they forgot to do is make sure he was dead. Now
with the will to live Eddie sets out on a one man
revenge.
STORY:
B+::
Desert Heat was well written by TIm O'Rourke. His
collection of all of the weird characters brings
fun to the movie. Action,fantasy,drugs,women,guns
and motorcycles makes one hell of a movie.
ACTING:
C+::
Van Damme played Eddie Lomax great and gave a
better performance in this film than in his
recently released movie Universal Soldier: The
Return and some of that might have to do with the
script. Other good performances from Jamie
Pressly who plays Dottie in the film.
