REVIEW

Legionnaire, the powerful and visually-spectacular new film from prolific producer Edward R. Pressman(The Crow, Wall Street) starring Jean Claude Van Damme, is an adventure of one man's journey into danger and redemption. A suspenseful story of survival set against an explosive war saga and a compelling portrait of a group of men searching for new beginnings beyond their own broken dreams.

One of the first $30 million budget films to go straight to video. It went to video not because it was bad, it is a very good film. But because Van Damme does better with video rentals than to theater movies.

Good acting by Van Damme who plays Alain Lefevre a tough man boxer who doesn't take a fall when paid and is now on the run. He joins the Legion to get away. Good acting by Van Damme one of my favorite JC films but for all of you hard core JC martial arts fans this doesn't contain much fighting.
