This is the Grey Heron (Ardeo cinera). Size 102 cm (40 in). Pale grey upperparts, white heads and thick black line above eye. It is a locally common to rare resident on the west coast of Malaysia south to Singapore. Breeding colonies are in Matang Forest Reserves in Perak, Kuala Selangor and Kapar in Selangor and the Benut Mangrove Forest Reserves in Johore. This photo was taken in Batu Gajah, Perak
