These are Long-tailed Parakeets (Psittacula longicauda). Size
16" long, 41 cm.
Male has green crown, pink sides, black malar stripes, red
maxilla and brown mandible.
The female has dark green malar stripes and dull
brown bill. The male has a longer
tail than the female. It is resident at low
elevations and found mostly near durian
orchards, and oil palm plantations. It
usually frequents the canopy in
noisy flocks and perches on tall dead trees.
