This is the Pink-necked Pigeon. Size 10 inches, 25 cm. The male has grey
head, green mantle, purplish pink neck and upper breast, orange lower
breast. Under-tail coverts is dark chestnut in colour. The female is
overall dull green with buff undertail coverts.

It is a common resident at low elevations found in mangroves, forest
edge, plantations, wooded gardens and open country.
