With thanks to my brother and sister in law the symbols most likely mean: Group 5 Attendance List, for 2nd September 1944 where the numbers might represent the persons and the characters/stamps may indicate work allocation or the location of the person. The triangular symbols are like numbers, blank triangle =zero, one stroke inside means one etc. The symbol next to 434 means inside, 53 injured on duty.
