As of May 2005 I have officially revived the western PA BirdEast Rare Bird Alerts via their email listserv. If anyone has sightings in western PA that they'd like to report, please email me your sightings and I'll add them to the reports! (I also continue to be a compiler for Washington County, specifically). If you are not subscribed to BIRDEAST but you would like to receive these reports, email me and I will add you to my list.
 Every year we participate in the Christmas Bird Count and the Pennsylvania Migration Count! I am the compiler for Washington County, PA for the Migration Count. If you would like to participate, you can e-mail me for information, or to just send me your own sightings. I have been the compiler since 2002.
 My Red-headed Woodpecker photo (from the 2005 Xmas Bird Count) is featured in the February 2006 issue of The Peregrine newsletter at the Three Rivers Birding Club! (PDF file)
