Bottle
“All right then,” Josie said mischievously, beaming at her husband and the six young people sitting around her living room. “Kids, I think you all know as well as I do that this party isn’t really very lively.”
Steve blinked in confusion, but the six kids were wanting to nod, but feeling a little awkward if they did, so they settled for exchanging significant glances with each other instead.
Grinning, Josie motioned for Steve to stand and join her, and when he did, she nodded at the kids. “Now, kids, Steve and I are off for the evening, we’re going to go get some preliminary work done on this new supervillain the president warned us about. So, in the interests of you not getting horribly bored...” she pulled the empty glass Coke bottle out from behind her back. “I think it would be a wonderful game for you to be playing Spin the Bottle!”
Jaws around the room dropped, and Will squeaked, “Mom!”
“Oh, go on, it’s fun,” Josie laughed. “Well kids, have fun. We’ll be in the kitchen if you need anything.” And with that, Josie led her flabbergasted husband from the room, flicking the lights off as she went so the room was lit only by the soft red glow from the flickering fireplace.
For a long moment, six teenagers just stared at each other, then Magenta slid off her chair, settling on the floor, and grabbing the bottle. “All right,” she said. “You sit, I’ll spin first.”
Zach immediately slid to the floor, and eventually, so did everyone else, though more nervously.
Magenta looked at them all steadily, then set the bottle on the floor and spun it, quick. Zach crossed his fingers, screwed his eyes shut, and started muttering under his breath, “Pick me, pick me, pick me...”
The bottle slowed, then slid to a stop, pointing at...
Ethan.
Ethan awkwardly pushed his glasses up a little further on his nose, swallowing. Magenta grinned, and despite Zach’s mutterings, she crawled forward and pressed a quick kiss to Ethan’s lips, before sitting back. “Your turn to spin, Ethan.”
Swallowing and blinking rapidly, feeling rather pleased with himself to be honest, Ethan spun the bottle. It didn’t spin nearly as fast as it had for Magenta, and when it stopped, it stopped on...
Zach.
“What? Woah man, that’s not cool,” Zach tried, but Ethan just swallowed his pride, and before the now glowing-with-panic Zach could protest, he pecked him, very quickly.
Everyone just laughed, and Zach’s cheeks glowed even brighter. Glowering, he spun the bottle, perking up when he saw who it landed on this time...
Layla.
Layla rolled her eyes, but waited until Zach came over and enthusiastically gave her a loud, smacking kiss. Everyone laughed at Zach’s theatrics, and Layla just shook her head, spinning the bottle fast, until it slowed, and landed on....
Magenta.
The guys all started laughing, but it wasn’t a mocking laughter, it was more of a ‘oh, this is so sweet’ laughter, as Layla calmly leaned over, and gave her best friend a calm, sedate, and quite chaste kiss on the lips.
“Yeah, laugh it up, boys,” Magenta smirked at their catcalls, and spun the bottle herself again. This time, it took even longer to slow, but when it landed, everyone started howling in laughter...
Warren.
The flamethrower rolled his eyes, not impressed, but the purple girl grinned, and crawled across the floor towards him. “Sorry, Warren,” she shrugged, and gave him a quick, innocent kiss.
“Yeah, sure,” the flamethrower snorted in disbelief, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand as he spun the bottle with the other one. The bottle seemed to take forever, then finally, finally halted...
On Will.
The rest of the room just laughed at that ridiculous idea, but Warren had a strange gleam in his eyes as he calmly walked on his knees over to Will. He looked down at him for a moment, then without saying a word, climbed into Will’s lap, straddling his legs. “What are you doing?” Will asked, nervously.
“Shut up, Stronghold,” Warren responded, tangling his fingers in Will’s hair, and kissing him.
This was not the innocent chaste kisses that the others had. This one was almost graphic, sloppy and moist, Warren’s lips moving firmly over Will’s, nibbling at his lower lip until he finally opened his mouth, then Warren’s tongue was in Will’s mouth, and Will’s hands were drifting up to rest on Warren’s waist, and he was moaning softly...
Everyone else in the circle could only gape at them, confused, and quite frankly, a little turned on. No one said anything, until Josie poked her head in the room. “Have Will and Warren yet....? Yes!” And she did a funny little dance in the doorway, then returned to the kitchen, humming ‘Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match.’
The other four exchanged looks, unsure what to do next, but when there was a sudden soft thud, and they all looked over to see Will on the floor on his back, Warren on top of him, Will’s legs coming up to encircle the other’s waist... they decided that maybe now was a good time to join Steve and Josie in the kitchen and see if maybe they didn’t have a copy of Scrabble around here somewhere.
