Bruises
His hand brushed against his hip at lunchtime the next day, and he let out a small hiss, eyes fairly rolling back in his head at the exquisite pain.
Sneaking away from the table and the crowd of chattering heros and sidekicks, he dashed into the bathroom, locking the stall door behind him, and unbuckling his belt, pulling his jeans down just far enough to reveal the purpling hand prints on his hips. Letting out a held breath, he traced his fingertips across the edges, grabbing at the door with his other hand to keep his balance, his knees suddenly weak.
All four fingers, thumb, heel of the hand pressed tight just below the bone. Both sides, mirror images to each other, purple and red, angry colours, beautiful colours. Possessive colours, marks of hands that had gripped and held and pushed down, pinning hips to a soft bed, preventing movement, marking ownership. Reminding Warren that these hips weren't really his, they belonged to a greedy lover with a grip that crushed and marked and bruised oh so beautifully.
Tugging his jeans back up with reluctance, Warren nearly gave up on his plan to go back to the cafeteria as though nothing had happened when his belt scraped across the livid marks, turning his knees to jelly. Swallowing against a dry throat, he tightened the belt with finality, and marched back to the cafeteria.
Most of the "group" didn't even look up as he returned, slumping back at his normal seat, shoulders hunched, arms crossed on the table, but Will leaned over from his own seat, and in a low voice, lips turned up at the corners, he asked, "How are the hips, Warren?"
Warren didn't answer, but gave him a sideways glare.
Will lowered his hand, and brushed the back of it across Warren's left hip, and the older boy had to bite his lip to keep from coming right then and there, his breath catching in his throat.
Will just grinned, and turned back to his conversation, sparing Warren only a little glance.
Warren smiled a little, to himself.
Tomorrow, he'd have a few more bruises.
Excellent.
Go back to Sky High.
