Cupid
Panting rather desperately, Remus dashed around another corner in the dungeon, not happy that he could still hear the mocking laughter of Malfoy, MacNair and LeStrange behind him. It wasn’t his fault he’d stumbled across their stupid secret meeting! He’d just been walking, doing his prefect rounds, which really meant that he had the power to give those bullies detention, and he would too... if he weren’t afraid they’d absolutely clean his clock, sans magic, if he tried.
Skidding around another corner, Remus smashed into something rather more solid than air, but rather less solid than the stone walls. In fact, something that let out a muffled “Oof!” and collapsed under him, resulting in a tangle of what Remus could only assume was arms and legs.
Half pushing himself up, Remus winced when he tried to put weight on his right ankle, and nearly collapsed upon the person again. A person, who, upon opening his eyes, turned out to be his very secret crush, Slytherin Severus Snape.
“Eep!” Remus squeaked, trying very hard to scramble off of the other, but not making it very far when his ankle shot stabbing pains up the rest of his leg. “Ow ow ow... oh, I’m so sorry...”
“What were you thinking?” Severus sneered, rubbing at the back of his head. “Tearing about like that...”
“I’m so sorry,” Remus whimpered, and decided that the best option was to get out of here was quickly as possible, but when he stood, pain so sharp screamed up his ankle and leg that his leg gave out beneath him, and he collapsed with a whimpered scream next to Severus.
“That looks bad,” Severus frowned, concerned. “Do you think it’s broken?”
“Just sprained,” Remus admitted, shakily.
“Hn.” Severus frowned a moment, then nodded as he stood, mind made up. “I know a good charm for that. Come on, I’ll help you back to my dorm, we can fix it up there, you can stay until you can walk again.”
“Really?” Remus looked up sharply, eyes shining with new hope. “You’d do that?”
Severus swallowed, a little self-conscious. “Come on, then. We haven’t got all night.”
“Right,” Remus beamed, feeling better already.
And as Severus lead Remus away, arms around each other’s shoulders, already talking, Lucius turned to face Avery and Rodolphus, smirking very assuredly. “Gentlemen, we have yet another success. And that is exactly how it’s done!”
