" SMOKING is not going to be banned in pubs and clubs in The Territory so the NT News stated on 28 May 2007.

Following this NT News article in the NT News paper concerning " Cigarette SMOKING is NOT going to be banned in pubs and clubs " despite the Territory again receiving the far-from-coveted Dirty Ashtray Award for not doing enough to combat smoking.

One has to wonder why would any one interfere in the rights of individuals freedom of choice to start with in that any one daring to cause such discrimination and segregation to start with.

In that Smoking restrictions were imposed in the Territory in January 2003 so its been very odd to have seen how the NT Government would have done this to start with seeing how they have been polluting our air and environment for years with just about no one coming forward with these facts having been reported on in either TV,Radio or news paper concerning all their back burning having taken place for years.

And yet they said about Banning Smoking ...what a joke !.

Once again I like many in the Territory did not see these facts come out on any advertisement on TV, Radio, or News papers over the years or indeed in any of the tourist information that we have indeed got a SMOKEY SEASON in the Territory and have had so for years.

In that all KIDS and elderly person get this whether or not they smoke and yet not a thing has been said about these facts at all in any media what so ever up here in the Northern Territory or by any of our so called health bodies or our own AMA president Dr Mukesh Haikerwal.

The fact is that all these facts have been down played for years by all our NT Government Officials in that over the last 20 years and indeed this current NT Government has been failing on one of the most fundamental aspects of health protection for years " The CLEAN AIR " act.

yet every year we all have been putting up with our own NT Government as a major contributor in damaging our health with their own pollution of our air and atmosphere and in spoiling our home features and equipment than all the cars and smokers put together in a single year do here in The Northern Territory.

Come on yous NT Government Officials get real and drop all the bull crap on this smoking ban.

Just ask all the Territory red eyed kids and elderly that have to see a doctor to get some relief from what yous are not only been doing to our Territory but what you have also been doing to the whole of Australia for years with all your back burning.

Come and enjoy The Northern Territory along with enjoying all the out side smoke filed air and watch your kids get sick.

Its even odder to have seen such NT traders and businesses jumping on the band wagon to perhaps they too have forgotten just what side their bread is buttered on too... So it was good to see the people of the Territory slap yous all down in where it hurts the most in your hip pocket.

Its also been odd not to have seen the retraction of all these TV commercials at all as once they first were done in the same name as these NT Government Officials first stated in putting out in the same manner in which all these matters were aired on TV and radio.
