Metropolitan Palmerston City Burn's ...So much for our environmental impact act let alone the clean air what happend to reducing carbine gas's!.

Where is this clean air act ? we are told we have to observe and pay for and we are thinking about banning smoke in the NT.?

Where are the members of parliament gone to up here as you can never find them when the " shit hits the fan " so what the hell are we being bull crapped into this time over about this clean air act! and we want to ban smoking its a joke.

How odd it is to now see on TV here in The Northern Territory a Government head such as " Claire Martin " up here in the Northern Territory now being a " Dictator " perhaps she does not know or openly missing the point here that we Australians do have an " Australian Constitution " or do we after all ?.

What happened to the VOTING process ?.

This is not ireland " Claire Martin " but perhaps too she wants to be known as El Presidentee of The Northern Territory and go and stay in ireland or even Singapore after all she seems to like those countries.

As just like every year that comes around " Claire Martin " like when this article was published in 8 May 2005 just as the cooler weather has just come around we smoke up the Northern Territory Yes its back again and its called " Back Burning " time once again and here in the City of Palmerston its early days as we burn with in the Metropolitan areas of our Citys as yet once again them small red trucks are out and running making fires in our city.

But dont forget thats not counting the hundred of kilometers wide FIRES called " Back Burning " of our native land in which we also have for years been inflicting environmental damage on ourselfs and that of our Children let alone our over seas nabours in which we are heating up our own plant with CO2 gases.

So much for Australia reducing carbine gas's ....and we talk about our cars!.

It has to be noted in 2005 the Palmerston City Leisure Centre was used to host the Arafura Aquatic games you set fire to the adjoining land and smoked them all out along with the local residents.

So far we have had our fair share of skin irritations, stinking smoke and breath taking ash fall on us let alone our fair share of sore red eyes of late along with the damage that's being done to our homes, gardens, cars, shade sails, air conditioning ,swimming pools etc let alone inflicting such environmental damage on our own Australian native wild life through out Northern Territory and indeed Australia just as the weather is cooling down too ..isn't it always the way.

So like good Territorians that we are we will whinge and knock it but shut up and put up with it all once again and perhaps back another tinny down and even stick our heads in the sand and hope it will all just go away as its all too hard except the fact that our ass is on fire.

But like so many things up here in The Northern Territory its best not to rock the boat up here in case they send the cops around bashing in your door as you had pissed off some trumped up Government official up here in having told the truth as he/she sure was not doing his/her job... but they sure at least look important!.

Well that had to be said first off ..as It has to be also noted here that this back burning that is and has been taking place up here for years is not out in the outer suburbs of our City limits as perhaps even being for a fire break!.

No that's not what we are talking about here, what we are talking about here is back burning with in the metropolitan area of The Palmerston City which means right in the city itself!.

With residents having to pay out more moneys to go see a doctor and getting a script for medicines due to all the carcinogenic's that being released into our air due to these fire men and government heads up here in the Northern Territory in departments that just let these fire man play at being fire man. Let alone them apply out dated ways in having to back burn at all with in the metropolitan area of our city which just makes a joke out of the environmental impact act let alone the clean air act....so go figure!!.

So good deal on all this so can we go back to lighting fires on our beaches too and using an incinerator in our backyards also ? after all that is a safe method is it not.

And what of the kids that get conjunctivitis and the elderly having perhaps respiratory problems in which all having to pay out on more medical fee's and pharmaceutical to get some relief from all this crap that you's are pumping out into our atmosphere let alone the problems that is caused to skin irritations due to this crap.

The amount of carcinogenic's and arsenic that you's alone have put into the atmosphere over the last few years just makes a joke out of the environmental impact act that you tell each one of us we have to follow so how come this back burning goes on its just a joke if it was not so serious.

I would point out also the fact that within the metropolitan area of our City of Palmerston along with that of our shopping malls as well as our motor vehicles the clean air act is enforced at the present time. Along with the point also concerning our motor vehicles at least here at Palmerston you would get a fine by Police if you had a hole in your exhaust system for excessive exhaust pollutants along with noise pollution and that fine would be around $250.

The whole thing is just a bloody joke if it was not so serious.
