The Australian Communications and Media Authority has allocated a commercial television broadcasting licence to provide a digital-only service for Darwin,Northern Territory.

The licence was allocated to Darwin Digital Television Pty Ltd, a joint-venture company owned by the two existing commercial television broadcasting licensees in the Darwin television licence area: Regional Television Pty Ltd (Southern Cross Darwin) and Territory Television Pty Ltd (NTD Nine).

How odd is this when the fact is that our so called " Local Commercial TV Broadcasters " who are Regional Television Pty Ltd (Southern Cross Darwin) and Territory Television Pty Ltd (NTD Nine) cannot even correctly get the names of just two of our Northern Territory CITYS correctly let alone none of them even wanting to aknowledge these facts in that there are just TWO CITYs in the whole of the Northern Territory.

This fact has manifested itself by the written conduct of these two so called " Local Commercial TV Broadcasters " in their own refusal to aknowledging these facts in them also having been doing so for the past 7 years in having been refering to a geographical reference of our CITY as Palmerston rather than them having been giving our City of Palmerston its correct title.

This we can see hear and read in our daily lifes even the weather reports leave out our CITY of Palmerston.

All this has been done by both of these Commercial broadcasters Regional Television Pty Ltd (Southern Cross Darwin) and Territory Television Pty Ltd (NTD Nine) along with also having been done by The ABC TV Darwin in them also having been doing the same thing.
But also what most persons are NOT aware of is the fact that ALL of these so called Australian Broadcasters or what commonly called Northern Territory TV are doing is misreporting on our CITY of Palmerston as even being a CITY at all this is on the Local level. However this has been carried on Nationally across Australia along with having been done Internationly throughout their use of their Multi Media Internet feeds in that all of these so called Australian Broadcasters do not want or more over will not recognise our City of Palmerston in the Northern Territory.

What then of our so called Northern Territory Government Officials in them ALL having gone along with this incorrectness as well for the past 7 years can't they too SEE, HEAR, and READ even our so called Local Radio stations do the same ?.

Nice to see how we are Territory proud after all.

Lets hope that The Australian Communications and Media Authority will have all these so called " Local Broadcasters " in the Northern Territory address these facts fully and correct them in giving the correct reference to be made to our City in future seeing how we as Northern Territorians pay taxes to our Northern Territory Government Officials and also having been paying TAXES to " The City of Palmerston " council as a CITY.

Perhaps Claire Martin and all the Northern Territory Government Officials Local and Federal can address all these matters fully as to why in the past 7 years these facts have not been done correctly to start with.

We can but at least hope to the future that this will change but in the mean time its been odd to have seen so many Northern Territory Government Officials that are public servants in them all NOT giving service to the position in which they put them selfs up to be elected to that being ....In serving the community.
