Here is something I picked up on a park bench up here in Darwin that I read optimistically ..gee that's a big word well anyways I thought this article was something you should all know about concerning the fact that we are paying for it all, its about The Power and Water Corporation Northern Territory and its " Power black hole " it seems there are a few of these " Power black holes " around up here such as even Telstra it seems to in that even when you pay for a bill, it seems to be not just quite enough !.

Instead of returning this deficit to customers, the NT Government is likely to keep its $5 million slice from residential and small business consumers to help with its own $43 million annual subsidy.
This would equal a 5 per cent reduction on power bills for regular consumers if passed on.
Power and Water managing director Kim Wood said some businesses may get relief at the negotiating table ``I'm optimistic there may be better outcomes for contested customers as a result of the regulator's findings,'' he said.
Treasurer Syd Stirling said the Government was passing on the saving to regular customers by increasing Power and Water's subsidy.

So good deal on all this so do I get my money back for having been forced into paying bills that were no better than highway robbery ?.
And where is my Tax concession and interest for having paid for Power and Water & Telstra benefit funds over the years good to see my savings having being passed around here.
Its nice to know that I can get ripped off and that seems to be legal up here in the NT ...but if I did not pay the demands of the Power and Water I would have had no Power or Water and I would have to appear in court to.
So I would ask why then has not Power and Water & Telstra not appear in court for have knowingly held persons to ransom in what they have done!.

Territorians are being overcharged $10 million a year for electricity, an independent report has found.
None of that will be returned to residential customers or small business but big companies may be able to negotiate a price cut.
NT Utilities Commissioner Alan Tregilgas found the Power and Water corporation had grossly overestimated the value of its assets.
The corporation put the value of its assets _ such as power poles _ at $425 million for the next five years.
But the regulator downgraded the value to $350 million _ leaving a $10 million black hole in Power and Water's $200 million annual revenue.
So is that why I was paying $800 per quarter ! for a small two bedroomed unit and even when I got NT Power and Water out several times to check out my TWO BEDROOM UNIT they said I MUST be using it but nothing of the fact that even when all the appliances in that small unit combined going 24/7 could not draw that sort of power !.
