| Battle Royal | A set number of individuals enter the ring prior to the match. Once the bell rings, the goal is to throw your opponents over the top rope so that both of their feet touch the arena floor. There are no holds barred in this match, and although foreign objects are not common, they're rarely used in the battle royal. It is an elimination match and the contest continues until one man is left standing the victory. | Battle Royal |
| Cage | There are three different types of cage matches. All of them are no holds barred. There are no disqualifications or countouts. The first variation locks both grapplers inside of the steel cage so that there is no escape and the first man to score either a pinfall or submission is the victor. The second variation locks both men inside of the cage and there are no pinfalls or submissions. The only way to win is to scale the cage and climb to the outside so that both feet touch the arena floor. The third variation places both men inside the cage, but they are not locked in. The only way to win is either by walking out of the door or climbing up and over the cage so that both feet touch the arena floor. | Cage |
| Coffin | This match uses hardcore rules. Anything goes. A coffin is placed at ringside adjacent to the ring with two referees on either side of the coffin. When the wrestlers near the coffin, the officials will open the lid. To win the match, you must stuff your opponent into the coffin and physically slam the lid shut yourself. The first person to trap their opponent in the coffin is the winner. | Hardcore |
| Create Your Fate | Create Your Fate is not for those with a weak stomach. It is a best two-out-of-three falls match. The first match is a hardcore match. After the first fall has been decided, the winner of the first fall gets to choose the stipulation for the second fall. If the contest makes it to the third and final round, the winner of the second fall chooses the stipulation for the final fall. The first man to win two falls is declared the winner. If two falls are accumulated before reaching the third round, the match is over. If the match ends in a draw, the match will continue into a fourth and final hardcore sudden death match where the winner takes all. | Hardcore |
| First Blaze | The object is simple in this anything goes match. Light your opponent on fire. The first person to light any part of their opponent or their opponent's ring attire ablaze is declared the winner. | Hardcore |
| First Blood | This is a hardcore contest in which the only goal is to make your opponent bleed. Combatants typically try to draw blood from their opponent's head, but anywhere will do. The first man to bust his opponent open is the winner. | Hardcore |
| Hardcore | This is similar to a standard match in the sense that you want to either pin your opponent or make them submit. However, aside from that, there are no rules. No rope breaks, no countouts, no disqualifications. Hardcore matches are notorious for involving liberal weapon use and outside the ring action. Knockouts and double knockouts still apply. | Hardcore |
| Iron Man | An iron man match is your basic standard match, but with a time limit. The goal of the iron man match is to garner more decisions than your opponent before the set time expires. Should both men have a tie when the time expires, the match will go into a sudden death overtime in which the first man to score a fall on their opponent wins the iron man match. | Iron Man |
| Ladder | Before a ladder match, an item is suspended from the ceiling so that it hangs fifteen feet above the center of the ring. Usually, it's a championship belt, but sometimes it's a contract or a briefcase filled with money. A ladder is placed in the aisle outside the ring, and several more ladders are stored beneath the ring should the original become too damaged to use. There are no rules in this match. The only way to win is to set the ladder up in the center of the ring, climb the ladder, and grab the prize. The first man to release the prize is the winner. | Ladder |
| Pain Games | Prior to the match, participants draw numbers at random to determine their entry order. The men that drew numbers one, two, and three start the match. There are no disqualifications in this match and no countouts. Only three men are allowed in the ring at any one time. Elimination occurs via pinfall, submission, or being thrown over the top rope so that both feet touch the arena floor. Once one man has been eliminated, the next entrant comes down to take his place. This continues until all other competitors have been eliminated and only one man remains the winner. | Battle Royal |
| Pole | The object of this match is simple. In one corner will be erected a seven fifteen foot pole. On top of the pole will hang an item. To win the match, you must scale the pole and obtain the item. In some variations of this match, if the item is a weapon, you must be the first wrestler to use it against your opponent to gain the victory. | Hardcore |
| Six-Man Tag Team | This match follows the same rules as a tag team match except there are three men on each team instead of two. All tag team rules apply. | Tag Team |
| Standard | This is the most basic, most common type of match you'll see in the Atlantic Wrestling Association. Ideally, you try to win by either pinning your opponent's shoulders to the mat for a three-count or by forcing them to submit, or tap out. However, if you are outside of the ring, the referee will give you ten counts to get back into the ring. If you don't make it back in time, you will lose via countout. If you blatantly break the rules, you will lose via disqualification. Most referees will give a few warnings before issuing the D.Q., but some enforce the rules very strictly. If both men are knocked out and aren't able to make it to their feet by the count of ten, the match will be ruled a draw. If both men are outside the ring and unable to make it to the ring before the count of ten, the match will result in a double countout. If both men blatantly break the rules, the referee has the choice of issuing a double disqualification. All match variations are based off of these basic rules. | Standard |
| Submission | A submission match is exactly like a standard match except there are no pinfalls. The only way to win is via submission. However, there are still disqualifications and countouts. | Standard |
| Table | There are no rules for this match in the traditional sense. There is only one way to win, and that is by slamming your opponent through a wooden table. If both wrestlers go through the table at the same time, the match is a draw. | Hardcore |
| Tag Team | A tag team match pits two teams of two wrestlers against each other. One man from each team is allowed in the ring at a time while the other stands in his team's corner and hangs onto the tag rope which is attached to the turnbuckle. Interaction between team members occurs via tags. A tag is constituted by any contact between partners. When a tag is made, the wrestler in the ring must exit the ring and the wrestler on the ring apron must enter the ring. The wrestler in the ring has to the count of five to exit the ring. If a wrestler outside of the ring illegally enters the ring, he has five counts to exit the ring. An illegal wrestler, or one that hasn't been tagged into the ring, can not be pinned, counted out, or made to submit. | Tag Team |
| Threeway Dance | A threeway dance involves three combatants, but they aren't in the ring at the same time. Two men start the match. The loser is eliminated and the winner moves on to face the third man who will enter the ring immediately. The winner of these two wrestlers is the winner of the threeway dance. | Standard |
| Triple Threat | A triple threat match pits three wrestlers against each other. This is not an elimination match. The first wrestler to score a decision is the victor. If one wrestler is disqualified or counted out, he is removed from the contest and the match continues as if it were a standard match. | Standard |
| War of Attrition | At heart, the War of Attrition is a battle royal. The difference is that prior to the match, numbers are randomly drawn to determine the order of entry into the match. The men that draw numbers one and two start the match. Every minute, another man will enter in accordance to his drawn number until all of the men have entered. From here on the rules are exactly like a battle royal until there are only two men left in the match. Then the match becomes a standard match with the winner of the final fall winning the War of Attrition. If the final combatants are eliminated simultaneously so that only one man remains, he is still crowned the winner. | Battle Royal |
