Luang Phor Thuad

Phra Luang Phor Thuad, Wat Chang Hai, B.E.2524

Phim Klang

Size: approximately 2 cm x 3 cm

The above is Phra LP Thuad Wat Chang Hai B.E.2524 Phim Klang (Middle Mould). These batches (Phim Yai, Phim Klang & Phim Lek) of PhraLP Thuad are very popular in Thailand and among veteran collectors. Many miracles happened to those that had worn them. The words “Escape Death” will be more appropriate if I would to use for narrating those incidents.

Many people that worn the Phra LP Thuad were glad that they are still alive in the collapse of a hotel in Nakhon Rachaisma in B.E.2536. Many incidents of escaping death are associated with these batches of amulets.

Due to its burgeoning popularity, people started to source for it and inadvertently creating a high demand that complement with a significance price. Unscrupulous (dishonest) business men started to imitate them, hoping that it can bring them with lucrative profits. And indeed they did, but many suffer.

This is a counter fake piece with a temple box. I would say that the features are 80% close to the original one.

The genuine one on our left and the counter fake on our right.

Notice that the counter fake also has sparkling substances on its surface. The genuine piece’s material itself looks darker, like the color of soils.

Authentic one comes with the shape of a ball at the back (convex) and thicker comparing to the counter fake piece. Please refer to the genuine piece on our left. Very much similar to the Wat Prasart06 Phim PhraKop.

One point to note, the materials used for Phra LP Thuad WCH24 comprised of holy soils which look darker than the counter fake piece. Furthermore, with close examination, you will notice that the genuine one attributed with sharp features, which is a must have characteristic. In addition, the nature of soils tends to disperse (cannot hold tight together) and thus left us with many natural crack lines, especially at the intercept areas.

 Authentic piece with sharp features

P8090785  The counter fake piece comes with a temple box. And of course, this temple box doesn’t emanate from Wat Chang Hai.

Verse of Transference

“May this virtuous merits;

Adorn the Buddha Pure Land;

Repaying four kinds of kindness above;

and avoiding those sufferings in the three paths below.

May those who see and hear of this;

When this retribution is over;

Be born together in the Land of ultimate Bliss.”
