Wat
Dee Luang is an important historical place in Luang Phor Thuad’s
history (situated in Amphoe Sathingphra,
Songkla), a place where he used to stay in his
younger days as a novice. When Luang Phor Thuad was seven years old,
his father placed him under the custodian of his uncle, whom was the abbot of Wat Dee Luang. He attended the
temple school there and was taught with ancient Khmer and Thai language. And at

batches of Luang Phor Thuad were mass-chanted by 108 Guru Monks. Archan Tim of Wat ChangHai & Archan Nong of Wat SaiKow
participated in the chanting ceremony. They were first chanted at Wat Ton Leap and later brought back to Wat
Dee Luang for the 2nd time chanting
ceremony. Materials used include left-over materials in B.E.2497 that used to
make the famous Phra Luang Phor Thuad Wat
ChangHai97 and 108 “Wan” & sacred powders.
