Wat Dee Luang is an important historical place in Luang Phor Thuad’s history (situated in Amphoe Sathingphra, Songkla), a place where he used to stay in his younger days as a novice. When Luang Phor Thuad was seven years old, his father placed him under the custodian of his uncle, whom was the abbot of Wat Dee Luang. He attended the temple school there and was taught with ancient Khmer and Thai language. And at the age of 20, he traveled to Nakhon Si Thammarat to further his education at the Reverend Piyadassi Maha Thera Court and was subsequently ordained as a monk.

These batches of Luang Phor Thuad were mass-chanted by 108 Guru Monks. Archan Tim of  Wat ChangHai & Archan Nong of Wat SaiKow participated in the chanting ceremony. They were first chanted at Wat Ton Leap and later brought back to Wat Dee Luang  for the 2nd time chanting ceremony. Materials used include left-over materials in B.E.2497 that used to make the famous Phra Luang Phor Thuad Wat ChangHai97 and 108 “Wan” & sacred powders.

Verse of Transference

“May this virtuous merits;

Adorn the Buddha Pure Land;

Repaying four kinds of kindness above;

and avoiding those sufferings in the three paths below.

May those who see and hear of this;

All bring forth the Bodhi resolves;

When this retribution is over;

Be born together in the Land of ultimate Bliss.”
