 Close-up of the ladies' bathing facility and laundry area; built right outside the ladies' dorm. It was made of bamboo and woven bamboo. Water was piped over from the water tower that was built higher up on the campus grounds. Pictures show that they used this facility till the new bathrooms were built adjacent to the ladies dorm in 1965. Laundry lines were strung across on the right side of the dorm. The white things on top of the plants (right side) were clothes being bleached in the sun which would be washed some time later. |
