The Pond Islands
In front of the school, two islands had been built in the middle of the fish pond and they had been cavited (stone terraced) and planted with various trees and flowering plants. If the pictures were in color, you’d see how beautiful it all was. During the typhoon season, the pond got quite full and also noisy. Every evening and even throughout the night one could hear the many frog choruses.
