This was the view of the valley going upwards to the top. The roofs of the dorm and bathroom can be seen in the upper right-hand side. The valley was used for the students vegetable gardens. The crops they harvested went for their food and some were sold in the town's open market. The mountain side (center of picture) was not terraced because of the rough terrain. |
