 When the dormitories were widened, the bathing and restroom facilities were moved from being below the stairway to upstairs and in the center of the building. The men had their half or side and the ladies had the other half. Naturally there was a cement wall between them and each side had their own stairway going up to the dorms. With the building now being double wide, a cement water tank was built above the dorms, which is what was going on in this picture. My father is waving to everyone below. The water was still piped over from the town reservoir but now to the upstairs bathrooms. |
