History: Christian decided to enter into the army reserve as soon as he left high school, Mainly so the army could pay for his college education, however he never attended a university. He learned a tremendous amount of skills and leadership while he was in bootcamps around the world. Once he got released from training he decided not to go back to school, instead he began to study nature and tranquility. Even at his young age he searches for inner peace and reason, by bonding with nature and his environments. Christian is on his way to the rainforests of Brazil when the story opens, to try and find his inner-being.

History: Rhia grew up studying ancient relics and legends with her parents. Her father and mother weren't treasure hunters exactly, but they knew a lot about the history of the Egyptians and ancient Greece. She went into college and majored in history, and graduated with honors. Rhia was probably one of the most gifted historians that the school has ever taught...Now, out of school and on her own, she ventures around the world to discover new and exotic things. Her dream is to work with the most esteemed treasure hunter, Lukis Powell. When she first starting studying treasures and curses, Lukis was the first hunter that she idolized. Now, she gets to work alongside him in her most recent assignment in Brazil, to find an ancient Amulet that belonged to one of the kings of the western hemisphere.

History: Plants and animals are the life of this young woman. She knows just about every plant from grass to wild tree lillies. Growing up in the outback probably kept her interests brewing, from the number of endangered species of animals and plants. On many occasions Sarah has traveled to wild places, looking at these rare but dying creatures. Her parents raised Sarah in a nice home, and taught her many things about gardening and planting, which might have originally sparked her interest in wildlife. Her most recent assignment has her tracking a rare plant found in some of Brazil's rainforests, so her and her boyfriend decided to take a nice pleasure/business trip to the tropical country.

History: Tyrees is your common college student, loud annoying and knows everything about everything and/or everyone. He is a little mysterious at times however, he seems to stray away from questions having to do with what university he is attending and from time to time he doesnt answer to his name unless it is screamed directly at him. Tyrees' family life isn't that great, all of his sibblings are either dead or in gangs, his mother left his family when he was just a little boy, and his father is in the hospital for a failing liver and a drug addiction problem. Little is known why Tyrees is in Brazil, but as the story progresses so does the truth about Mr. Jones.

Personality: Kaila is very knowledgable about her culture, and can speak American as well as Brazil tounges. She is a loner, and doesn't talk too much to anyone in this story except for Lukis. She is serious, and is always trying to get her job done in a quick but effective way. Doesn't have much of a sense of humor.

History: Native to Brazil. Became treasure hunter when she was an early teenager, however she has never been outside of Brazil. She has earned the nick name of 'Master Brazilian Hunter' because of her skill of hunting in her part of the world. Because she has local fame, she hasn't been heard of much in other hunting teams...only if the team is going to Brazil. She knows just about as much as Lukis does about hunting, which is more than enough to make her a successful and respected individual. She doesn't speak of her past at all, even when asked, so not much is known of her family life. All she is after is the Amulet, that two others are looking for.

Personality: A wild girl, or used to be anyway. She is trying to change her wild ways when the story opens up. She is a very laid back and likable person, which makes her a girl that everyone wants to talk to about problems. Even though she has a wild side, she has a good head on her shoulders and can make great decisions when needed. She is always cracking jokes and trying to make people smile.

History: Bailey may be a computer programmer, but in no way does this little fireball act like a computer nerd. Bailey's parents died when she was a little girl and her older sister is the one who raised her. Seeing as her older sister didn't really care much about Bailey, the computer 'nerd' became a problem child: Always getting kicked out of classes in high school, in detention, getting into drugs, running around with guys...all before she turned 18. After going to a technical college for two years, she was hired into a company and became a computer programmer during the day. At night, Bailey still likes to go out, but not as much as she used to. She has been clean for over a year, and trying to turn her crazy past around. Bailey decides to take a nice vacation in the Brazilian beaches to clear her head and relax.

Personality: A serious treasure hunter, his mind stays focused on getting the job done no matter what the cost. He doesn't talk much about anything else but treasure and survival, but thats maybe because thats all he knows. Obsession over fame and rare objects has made him seem a little off his rocker, but inside he is a good man.

History: Being the most notorius treasure hunter in the western hemisphere isn't easy. Lukis is obsessed with the items he is 'destined' to find. His most recent target is an Amulet that can be found in a cave somewhere in Brazil's rainforests. Lukis grew up hunting with his older brothers, even though their parents didn't approve much of it. Because he spends all his free time outdoors he has become very knowledgable about the wild and nature. However, this is about all Lukis knows about and can talk about, and his obsession over his work makes him seem a little crazy and on edge. All in all, his craziness is just a form of his determination for the thing he loves to do.

History: Jon grew up around music his whole life, his mother taught it in elementary school and his father played in a oldies rock band in Nashville. Naturally, he followed in his father's footsteps and started his own band at the age of 14 with his best friend. When Jon was 18, his parents were killed in a car accident, his father was a little drunk after a show and they cut into oncoming traffic. Jonathan blamed music as being the reason for their death, but eventually got over it and continued to play in his band, Darkstar. When his parents died Jon continued to go to school, work, manage his emotions, and play in his band all at the same time and all with a level head. However, it was time for him to take a break from it all and a nice vacation to Brazil seemed like a calling. Nothing like an unknown place with your girlfriend to relax the nerves and emotions brewing inside.

History: Desareh is a mother of two little kids and a wife to a lovely husband back in New York City. The hectic lifestyle there brings her family closer together. Desareh is an established journalist and writes articles for a local newspaper and one or two magazines here and there. She is basically a freelance writer, trying to get as much money into her house as possible. Growing up on the tough streets of New York made her tough on the inside, but on the outside she is nice as can be. Her parents were never around when she was a little girl because they were trying to make ends meet for their daughter, so she basically was raised by her grandparents. Currently, Desareh took a story in Brazil over the Brazilian president. When the story starts she is trying to make her way back home to her family.

History: Julius grew up working with his father as a plumber, when he was younger his grandfather was even around to help. It has been a family business for quite sometime. When young Julius was in his early teens his father was murdered after responding to a call early in the morning. From what Julius has heard from police reports and such, his father, Matthew was into some criminal related business. He owed certain people money, and didn�t pay them back. Julius was all alone now, both of his parents were dead (his mother died giving birth to him), he spent the rest of his teenage years on the streets of Jackson, Mississippi. After picking up a second career and job, Julius had enough money to buy himself an apartment and pick himself back up. His secondary career has brought him to Brazil, and when he gets back to the States, the money waiting will be enormous.

History: Steve Streets, one of the most recognized police officers on the force in Baltimore. Well respected and admired by all of his peers. His partner and himself were on car patrol when they answered a call of an armed robbery at a bank, since it was only a few blocks away. Streets and his partner were the first two officers on the scene, and before they even got out of their car there were shots fired. Steve�s partner, Ryan Burke, got shot and went down. At the end of the incident, Ryan was dead and Steve had over fifty thousand dollars in the trunk of the patrol car...Someone set Steve up for it too look like he was the mastermind behind the whole robbery. With his badge gone and his dignity stripped, Steven continues to hunt down the remaining few thugs from that robbery. Not only to avenge the death of Ryan, but to regain his respect from his P.D. Rumor has it that one of the last members of the group is on the run in Brazil, and that�s where Streets has to go, with just a name (Tyrone Luna) and a gun.

He cares about how other people feel, and tries to make everyone happy. His job is to protect, and he does a lot of it in this story.

History:Gage grew up in the tropics of Jamaica, loving every minute of the sun and the beaches. In high school he joined the football team and started getting into lifting weights. To earn money the big man started to work the door at a night club as a bouncer...no one really messed with him. Once he graduated from high school he got employed as a bodyguard for many famous and important people in Jamaica. Eventually, the big man got great recognition and praise for his duties and one of his associates sent him on a 2 week vacation to Brazil to relax. Gage's hard working attitude earned him a trip of a life-time, but it turns out to not be such a great vacation.

Personality: Beka is extremely knowledgable, being in medical school for a couple years might have helped that. She is kind and gentle, and becomes the necessity of survival in the story. She helps everyone she can, and loves doing it. Very likable but uptight person to be around...she needs to loosen up a little and have fun in her life.

History: Beka went to the finest medical school in the United States, graduated and is now a registered nurse for one of the most respected hospitals in North Carolina. She even had the option of becoming a doctor herself, but she decided to stay a nurse. Mainly because she likes dealing with the patients one on one, instead of dealing with the surgeries. Beka's parents were both in the field of healthcare and she just decided to follow them into the profession as well. Beka was called down to Brazil to assist in several medical surgeries, something she hates to do. The only reason she decided to take the job was because of the amount of money she would be receiving for her duties. When the story begins, she is on her way back to the States...pretty happy with the income she will make when she returns.
