Storyline
Brazil is home to beautiful rainforests, dreamy beaches and great vacation spots. Several people travel there for family trips so they can relax and get their mind off of the real world. Some people get lucky enough to travel there on business trips. 'The Forest' opens up in Brasilia, Brazil. A large storm is keeping out-of-towners at a local airport, which has canceled almost all of its flights. The only way to get out of the storms and home quickly is by boat, down a river that will swing around the heavy storms and get the travelers to an airport that is sending planes out.
Passengers decide that getting home quickly is the ideal option, and they board the riverboat. The violent storms are too much for the boat to handle, even though it has went through rough waters before. The boat gets ripped apart, some of the passengers abandon ship before it gets too bad, while others stay on it trying to ride it out. The only survivors of the intense crash are split up, the ones that abandon ship and the ones that stayed on for the ride; which took them further down the river, and off a waterfall. The passengers that decided to abandon ship swim through the extreme waters and make it to shore.
Three of the survivors are after a valuable treasure. It is a rare amulet that was worn by a ancient king, and is actually rumored to be a myth more than reality. Since these individuals after the amulet were headed to this forest anyway, they decide to get to work and the amulet becomes the primary focus. The targeted treasure starts to catch the attention of the other survivors as well, creating a slight conflict or competition to see who gets the treasure first.
While the amulet keeps some of the victims busy, the others pay attention to staying alive, and trying to get out of the vast rainforest they have to survive in. With little supplies the passengers have to tred through an unknown world, but soon come to find out they are not the only ones that roam through the majestic place they crash landed into.
