ML
Int'l defeated the Columbians in this totally one-sided match. The
Columbians did not have the services of their influential point guard,
Sandro Mosquerra, due to work commitment.
ML started their usual tight defense with Sambo and Nicholas leading the
way, resulting in turnovers and baskets for ML. Because they still
manage to miss some easy shots, the Columbians kept their deficit by no
more than 10 pts at the end of the first half.
The usually cool Columbians started feeling the heat in the second half
as the game went on and slowly but surely was slipping away from them. A
technical was called against them when their player kicked the ball up
to the hall's ceiling when the referees decision went against them.
Showtime for Ebilane with a couple of difficult reverse layups and some
shotblocks. "Hule ka!" he screams afterwards. Butler managed to
slam a couple of dunks but missed a two-handed slam dunk from an
alleyhoop pass from Pineda. That would have been nice if it had gone in.
An amazing run of 14 wins without a loss puts ML's record as one of the
best and hard one to repeat.
