EADS (European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company), first aeronautical, space and defence group in Europe. It was born in 2000 by joining the German company DASA, the Spanish CASA and Matra-aerospatiale. EADS is world number 2 manufacturer of military helicopters, number 2 in missiles (via company MBDA recently created), number 3 in military transport aircraft, number 4 in military aircrafts (thanks to its participation, to a total value of 43%, in the Eurofighter program, and, for 46,5%, in the capital of Dassault).

EADS is among the companies that hire students on practical training (sometimes paid 300 euros/month, sometimes not paid at all) in substitution of experienced professionals.

In the recent scandal of the 'Clearstream Affair', Jean-Louis Gergorin -vicepresident of the company- quit due to its presumed involvement in it. Read related note in French, or in English.
