The upper input terminal connects to the I terminal of the adjustable regulator, LM317. There is a 0.1 microfarad cap connected from the I terminal to common. The A terminal connects through a 10 microfarad cap to common. There is another 0.1 mike cap connected between the regulator's O and A terminals. There is a resistor also connected between the regulator's O and A terminals. This resistor is labeled R sub 1. There is another resistor from the A terminal to common. This resistor is labeled R sub 2. There is a 20 microfarad cap connected from the O terminal to common. The O terminal also connects to the cathode of a diode. The anode of the diode goes to common.
