Figure 4.35. An input terminal marked with a minus sign goes to the gate of Q sub 1 an N channel JFET. The gate goes through R sub 1 to ground. Another input marked with a plus sign goes to the gate of Q sub 2, another N channel JFET. This gate goes through R sub 2 to ground. The drain of Q sub 1 goes through R sub 3 to plus 12 volts. The drain of Q sub 2 goes through R sub 4 to plus 12 volts. The source of Q sub 1 goes through R sub 5 to the top of the current source. The source of Q sub 2 goes through R sub 6 to the top of the current source. The bottom of the current source goes to minus 12 volts. The symbol for this current source is two circles overlaying one another. They have the same radius and their centers are offset by the distance of a radius. The center of one circle is above the other one. As the leads approach the symbol from above and below they connect to the first circle they touch. There are two outputs. Output 1 is taken between the drain of Q sub 1 and the drain of Q sub 2. Output 2 is taken between the drain of Q sub 1 and ground. End verbal description.
