The base also connects to one end of a capacitor. The other endof the capacitor connects to a connection terminal. Another connection terminal goes to ground. Together, these two terminals are labeled input. The collector connects to plus 12 volts. Another resistor, R E, 4.7 k ohms, has one end connected to ground.
