Figure 8.3 Single Ended Amplifier. The circuit begins with an input jack on the left. The center conductor goes to the grid of V 1 eh. The grid goes to ground through R1, a 470 k ohm resistor. The shell or shield of the jack goes to ground. The cathode of V 1 eh goes to ground through the parallel combination of R3, 1.8 k ohm and C1, 22 U f. The plate of V 1 eh goes through R2, a 100 k ohm resistor to B plus 3. B plus 3 goes to ground through C2, a 10 u f capacitor. The plate of V 1 eh goes through C3, to the top of the volume control pot, R4, 500 k ohms. The bottom goes to ground. The wiper goes to the grid of V 1 B. The cathode of V 1 B goes through the parallel combination of R7, 1.8 k ohm and C4, 22 u f, to ground. The plate of V 1 B goes through R6, a 100 k ohm, to B plus 2. B plus 2 goes to ground through C5, 22 u f. B plus 2 also goes through R5, a 22 k ohm, to B plus 3. The plate of V 1 B goes through C6, 0.01 u f to the grid of V 2. The grid of V2 also connects through the series combination of C7, and R8, 500 k ohm pot connected as a rheostat, to ground. No value is given for C7. The grid of V 2 also goes to ground through R10, a 470 k ohm. The cathode of V 2 goes to ground through the parallel combination of R11, 270 ohm and C8, 100 u f. The screen grid goes through C 9, 47 u f to ground. The screen goes through R 12, 1 k ohm to B plus. The screen goes through R9, 10 k ohm to B plus 2. B plus also connects to the red wire of the primary of the output transformer, 5 k to voice coil. The blue wire of the primary connects to the plate of V 2. The suppressor grid of V 2 is connected to the cathode inside the tube. The secondary of the output transformer is connected to a speaker. End verbal description.
