Roman Republic and Early Empire
I've broken up the Roman Empire into two timeframes but generally throughout both these times, the main garment worn by both men and women was the toga. Figure 1 illustrates a Roman citizen, figure 2 illustrates a man with a political office. The color indicated which specific office they held but I don't know which colors went with which office.
