Bio: Hello, my name is Connor Hay. I have been selected as a People to People Student Ambassador (read about the history of this program by clicking on the link on the home page). This summer, I'll be traveling with my delegation to Australia for two weeks. However, I need to raise over $7,000, which includes tuition, the flight, spending money, and many other expenses. To do this, I am selling jewelry that I've designed and made. That's what this blog is about. I'm also selling home-made cookies, fudge, and shortbread, which you can find out more about at my Connor's Cookies & Confections website, linked on the home page. Thank you in advance for your support!
I'm Connor's mom, Chris, a medical record coder and (retired) EMT in the Boston area, and I'm helping with some of the technical aspects of the blog/website. (Although it's likely that Connor really knows more than I do, but he's humoring me...) I'm also posting on occasion, as I try to figure out how this blogging thing works.
(Or maybe Mom is posting more than Connor about her knitting and other things in life, but hey, it's fun...)
Interests: Connor likes cooking (and eating!), swimming, and playing the flute in Jazz Band and "regular band".
Mom, Chris, likes cooking (and eating), knitting, crocheting, and various crafty endeavors. I'm an avid collector of Longaberger Baskets (the better to store my assorted stash!), and have become a consultant in order to "support my habits". :)
We enjoy family camping with a club (check the links) in our pop-up trailer, and have travelled from Niagara Falls, Ontario to Williamsburg, VA with the wonderful folks from NAFCA.
