Basic Afghan Stitch | |
Row 1 (Keep ALL loops on hook): Skip first ch, insert hook into 2nd chain from hook, YO and draw through 1 loop, * insert hook into next ch, YO and draw through 1 loop, repeat from * to end of ch length keeping all loops on hook.
Row 1 (return: removing the loops): YO, and draw through the first 2 loops on hook, * YO and draw through next 2 loops on hook, rep from * to end leaving 1 loop on hook.
Row 2: Miss first vertical loop on RS of fabric, *insert hook from R to L (L to R for left-handers) into next vertical loop, YO and draw through 1 loop, rep from * to end keeping all loops on hook.
Row 2 (return: removing the loops): Repeat the return row in row 1.
