But the fruit of the Spirit is

Love,

"You shall love the Lord your God
with all your heart, with all your soul,
with all your mind, and with all your
strength.  And you shall love your
neighbor as yourself."
Mark 12:30-31

Joy,

"I will joy in the God of my salvation."
Habakkuk 3:18

Peace,

"Peace I leave with you, My peace
I give to you; not as the world gives
do I give to you.  Let not your heart
be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
John
14:27

Longsuffering,

"Wait on the Lord; be of good courage,
and He shall strengthen your heart; wait,
I say, on the Lord."
Psalm 27:14

Gentleness,

"I am gentle and humble in heart,
and you will find rest for your souls."
Matthew 11:29

Goodness,

"Therefore, as we have opportunity,
let us do good to all people,
especially to those who belong
to the family of believers."
Galatians 6:10

Faith,

"Be faithful until death and
I will give you the crown of life."
Revelation 2:10

Meekness,
"For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith."

Rom 12:3

Temperance

"But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway. "
I Corinthians 9:27

against such there is no law.

Gal 5:22

These may divided into three groups
1- Love (charity), joy, peace: Our God ward relationship.
2- Patience, kindness, goodness: Our relationship with the people.
3- Faithfulness, gentleness, self-control: Our inward relationship, the attitudes and actions of the inner self.

These 9 fruits are all related to each other, that's why Paul calls all of them "the fruit of the Spirit", and all should characterize our lives when we abide in Christ and Christ in us, by the power of the Spirit, for the glory of the Father, for our own good, and for the good of the Church.

Sanctify me Holy Spirit, that I may be filled with Thee, and emptied of self. I don't want to cause Thee sorrow by the way I live my life, so I ask Thee to produce in me the fruit of Godly character.  I  earnestly desire to have  a full and meaningful relationship with God that I might be a delight to Him and His channel of blessing to others. Amen
