This is a "support" page for the ReDokMon print document redirector. It was designed to capture printer output (aka REDMON) with an extra virtue -- redirection of the document name. The document name can encode a file name to save or pass any other command for the capturing application. The flexible dynamic control greatly extends usability of the redirect driver.

For instance, sometimes the feature to print into a file, which is very useful for converting documents into PS/PCL, is disabled. like it is a case with XPS. This driver allows to save files locally or even remotely on FTP (which is beyond the abilities of the conventional print-to-file feature).

The options to implement in the future are:

In addition to printer manufacturer drivers, you may wish to use the monitor with the XPS Passthrough driver. Microsoft supplies XPS Writer Driver, but it always pops up the dull "Save-to-file" dialog no matter which port it is directed to output. The passthrough driver is minimal abbreviation of the Microsoft buggy XPS Sample driver found in WinDDK.
