SERVING Step one: Approach, offer, repeat, remove.
Approach: Ask permission to approach, thus giving the One you are offering to time to reply that, yes They are wish to be served or if busy, will say so then. If given persmission, approach and kneel at Their feet in either a tower or nadu .(a ws never kneels in nadu, and tower is always used when serving FW no matter silk level) If told your service is not needed be sure to thank Them for acknowleding you and allowing you to offer, than move to the Next (if need).
Offer/Repeat: Ask what it is that They desire, make sure to ask questions about the drink They want if you are unsure...for example, do They wanted it heated/cold etc...Then repeat what it is They require as that shows Them that you were listening and will not make a mistake in bringing the wrong drink.
Remove: It is assuming you are kneeling infront of the One you are offering serve to. Slowly rise to your feet, do not turn your back upon a Free, it is disrespectful. Dont forget to be descriptive!
Step Two: Kitchen, clean, drink
Kitchen: move to the shelves select a vessel check it for any chips or mars that may cut a Free Persons lip test it upon your flesh in a teasing provacative manner if serving a Man ...on your wrist or cheek if serving a Woman.
Clean: you take a repcloth or a swatch of silk and polish the vessel {the dishes are already clean you just want to make sure its shining and there are no trace of your touch upon the vessel.)
Drink: Retrieve the drink required either from the cold room, hearth, or wine rack.
Step Three: Approach, offer, Release
Approach: Ask permission to approach and finish serve. When granted kneel back down in same position holding the vessel or tray firmly in your hands.
Offer: The vessel is lifted upwards over your belly bring it to your heart and then your lips, softly kissing it below the rim, as the slaves head is lowered, lift the vessel up to the Master/Mistress as you give some kind of verbal offering.. an example is " a girl offers You this drink/food in hopes that it quenches Your thirst/hunger and that her serve has pleased you in a small way" but like everything else, this is a place to shine, be unique, in your blessing.
Release: You are not done until you are released. Period. Not to greet or serve others, not to visit with friends or sisters, nothing. Either ask (if busy)or just be patient until it happens.

Serving An Assassin
Serving one of the black caste is much differnt then serving are Ubar, Master's or Mistress's there are things that you never do here is a list of them so you do not get into trouble...
1. AWAYS ask permission to approach to offer service
2. Ask Him if He has His private drinking vessel with Him (most carry their own with them). If the requested drink is contained in a bota or bottle, ask Him if he wants you to bring a "sealed" bota/bottle to Him so He can watch you break the seal
3. If you take the vessel with you, always handle the vessel by the sides, hold it upside down if you carry it, holding it away from your body
4. Never let it out of His site, if going to the chilling room, place it on the counter for Him to see OR let the door wide open stating for Him to see
5. Never wipe the dish or drinking vessel for an Assassin
6. Never touch the rim of any dish or vessel looking for flaws
7. Never let the vessel touch any part of your body
8. Never kiss the rim
9. NEVER ask if the assassin wants the drink or food tested, it is an insult to them
10. Since an Assassin wears gloves, instead of opening your mouth for a coin, fold your silks to take the coin and then deposit it in the coin box
