McLeod Art by Aileen McLeod
As the Editor of The Messenger I invited Aileen McLeod to paint a picture that expressed her thoughts about Christmas. Here is what she says about this picture which she painted. |
Christmas versus Xmas. Christmas is always an important part of my life. It is a time I enjoy to give and receive gifts. It is a season of “getting together”. Many people are lonely, for one reason or another, at this time of the year and one can often help in this situation, invite them to spend the day with you. The meaning of Christmas, for me, is to once again remind myself of the most cherished gift of all; that is the gift of Jesus to me and all mankind. Some of our Christmas gifts are put away, on shelves, or cupboards but God’s Christmas gift to us (Jesus) can never be locked away as Jesus is everywhere. He is always ready and waiting for us to receive Him and He gives us the gift of life! Christmas is the season to rejoice in God’s gift of The Lord Jesus Christ. Remember Christmas is in, Xmas is out, replace the “X” with CHRIST. Aileen McLeod, can be contacted here about this article. You can also view Aileen's web page at McLeod Art |
