Annual AIKC National Presidents Meet & Training Seminar 2006
The 2006 Annual AIKC State Presidents and districts committee meetings were held on 3rd & 4th April at Nasik Road Maharashtra for the AIKC Amateur and Pro divisions.
State Presidents from Assam , Maharashtra , Tamil Nadu and Delhi attended the meeting along with their coaches and fighters to attend kickboxing , muay thai and MMA training at the world famous tigers gym.Proxy members for state presidents of Nagaland , West Bengal and Jammu & Kashmir were also at the official meeting.Districts committees from Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu also participated in the meetings and training.
In the opening speech at the conference AIKC founder President Daniel Isaac said that this year the primary goal of the AIKC is to set up well equipped kickboxing gyms and qualified kickboxing instructors all over the country.He expressed his dissatisfaction at the present condition that students were being trained in kickboxing all over India and stated that its time for India and the AIKC members to get over their obsession with karate and taekwondo and enter into the Kickboxing era.This year although the AIKC plans to continue its endevour to promote more hard styles of kickboxing competition like low kick and full contact [above waist] rules the AIKC will also launch regular events featuring various weight categories of light , semi contact and music kata.
All the National Delegates before the 2006 Meeting
All 2006 AIKC state members have been given one years free membership with the SGAI [Striking Grapplers Association of India] and have been instructed to begin promotions of MMA , semi grappling , Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and submission wrestling via the SGAI.An intensive workout session was conducted by Daniel Isaac covering various aspects of Muay Thai and MMA styles of fighting at Tigers gymA major development uring this years meeting was the resolution to use video conferencing between all National delegates and the National office for annual meetings.This would minise national and state committee expenses by 90%.The AIKC has a tie up with Reliance webworld for the use of video conferencing.
