Databases

Databases such as INSPIRE can provide you with really good news and magazine articles.  INSPIRE is a collection of commercial databases and other information resources that is free to Indiana residents.  Go to www.inspire.net.  If you already have a password go ahead and log in, if not you have to register for one.  It's quick, easy, and free.  Once that is done you can now explore any of it's twenty-three databases.  Many of the articles provided have a HTML or PDF link to them so that the article can be read in it's entirety.

Most of the articles that can be found come from Lit Finder, Academic Search Elite, MEDLINE, and Newspaper Source. 

        1.  Lit Finder has some poems and stories that have to do with Chinese women and bound

                feet.

        2.  Academic Search Elite searches over 1,200 journals, 3,000 scholarly journals, and 1,700

                peer reviewed journals. 

        3.  MEDLINE searches over 7,300 publications providing a comprehensive set of materials

                on life sciences.

        4.  Newspaper Source searches over 250 newspaper resources.

To search you type a key word into the search box and hit enter.  A list of resources will come up.  The one's with full text articles will have a HTML or PDF logo at the bottom of the record.  Each record provides author, title, journal, publication date, and a brief synopsis.
