LADDER CO. 1
2006 104 FT SUTPHEN LADDER
Ladder Co. 1 is one of the four ladder companies for the City of Durham Fire Department. The DFD has 7 aerial apparatus – One responds as Engine Company (E7) and two a reserve ladders.
Ladder 1 carries a full array of extrication equipment along with cribbing and high pressure low lift air bags and a high lift jack.
Ladder 1 has rope rescue equipment for high level and low angle rescues.
Ladder 1 carries many different saws-
2- Echo Quick Vent chain saws
1- Partner K-12 saw
1- STIHL Cutquik saw
1- STIHL Chain saw
1-Milwaukee reciprocating saw
1- DeWalt cordless reciprocating saw.
Ladder 1 carries normal ladder company equipment such as – Ground ladders, pike poles, NY Hooks, Hydro Force (Rabbit tool), Thermal Imager, gas meters, forcible entry tools, plus other hand tools and equipment.
